Nail art tutorials


   Gel Glue
  • Intended for small and very large and challenging for attaching decorations
  • A stiffer composition avalaible in the tube and in the jar
  • Liquid glue in a bottle
  • More suitable for attaching gel and plastic tips on top of the gel than Builder gels
  • When used for sealing, the metal decorations won't lose color, unlike with topcoat alone

 

    Lexan gel
  • Bluesky's hit product that belongs to the world's fastest gels
  • Cures with LED light in 5 seconds
  • High viscosity before curing, smooths out but does not overflow easily
  • Very durable after curing
  • Almost as hard as acrylic but easier to file
  • Very clear, suitable for glass effect nails and for sealing decorations under gel

   Emboss gel
  • Suitable for decorating and coloring the entire nail like regular gel paint
  • A thicker composition that can leave thicker gel layers the nail without patterns flattening
  • Pigmented
  • Suitable for e.g. for making sweater patterns or waffle patterns

 

   4D gel
  • A very stiff gel that is suitable for making big embossings and shapes
  • Shaped with cleanser
  • Replaces 3D acrylic flowers
  • Hardens only in the light
  • Large, showy structures such as multi-storey ones roses, butterflies, crosses etc.
  • Can be used with silicone molds to make decorations

 

  Aqua Pen  
  • A watercolor pen intended for nail art
  • The end result varies depending on whether the nail is fre of sticky layer or not
  • Faded with a cleanser
  • Dries by itself and quickly

    Magnetic Gel Polish / Cat eye polish
  • Magnetic polishes have metallic pigments that react to the magnet, forming patterns on the nail
  • You can practice and work on the patterns until the gel polsih is cured.
    If you are not satisfied with the pattern, you can wipe the surface of the nail again with the gel brush, which will activate the gel again.
  • Some magnetic polishes need a black base but not all.
    Use a black base for varnishes where the pigment changes from colorful to dark
  • Do one layer of magnetic varnish at a time so that the magnet does not change the pattern of the adjacent nail or not the pattern changes as the pigments move.
  • One layer of gel is enough on top of the base color

 

   Stamping

Stamping is purely about technique to be successful. When you find the right technique and rhythm stamping runs smoothly.
Problems can arise due to the following things

  • Used regular nail polish as a stamping polish (always use a stamping polish!)
  • Too slow, so the varnish had time to dry
  • Poorly cleaned equipment
  • Insufficient equipment
  • Broken stamp pad

   Gel Paint
  • A really pigmented, paint-like gel that fits for decorating and coloring the entire nail
  • An updated version of color gels
  • Can be used between gel layers
  • Can be mixed with gel paints of the same series
  • No overflowing
